WHAT IS IT?
Using any platform at all, it's time for you to create a game using our robot mascot, Sir Codealot! It can be a platformer, shooter, adventurer, puzzle game ... Anything! Keep scrolling to access downloadable files of Sir Codealot for you to use (or you can recreate him if you’d like) as well as all entry instructions. Once you have finished your game, enter all your details, including a link to your game and you’ll be in the running for prizes!

ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to everyone (not just ScopeIT Education, CIY Club and CIY Camp participants).
GROUP CATEGORIES
1. Junior 5-12 years old.
2. Teens 13-19 years old.
3. Open 20+ years old.
4. Most popular - will be judged by anyone viewing the ScopeIT website wishing to view the projects and select their favourite.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Entries will be judged based on addressing the original project brief (if relevant), robot theme, creativity, uniqueness, and playability.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Entries may be submitted by a single entrant only, no pairs or paired projects;

Each participant may submit up to two entries;

ScopeIT Education/CIY may display your first name and entry as part of future marketing material;

The theme for Game Jam 2022 is Sir Codealot. Remember to download the image package above to use in your project.

You must share a link to your project;

For any hardware-based submissions, provide a detailed video; and
-
You must be able to explain your project.
The winner may be subject to an individual code review for projects with code or contacted to provide further details. A winning entry may be disqualified if it is apparent that the code is plagiarised with no understanding of function.

Competition opens: Monday, 17th October 2022
The competition closes: at 5 pm AEST, Sunday, 13th November 2022
Winners announced: Early December 2022
Prizes awarded: December 2022
PRIZES
The Grand Prize Winner of Game Jam 2022 will receive a choice of either an Apple iPad, SE Drone Mini or VR Kit.
There will also be a 1st Prize Winner for each group category of $250
HOW TO ENTER
From Monday, 17th October 2022, you can enter via this web page entry form. You will be required to enter the following:

Creator Name (Note: any creator under the age of 16 years requires a parent to enter)

Link to project entry, e.g. scratch, photo, video, website (Make sure you test your link carefully to ensure it works!)
